Who We Are

OUR MISSION STATEMENT

For more than 50 years, NSI has been advancing the technology of nail products so that professional nail technicians can work faster and more profitably. That means our in-house chemists work closely with professionals every day to create time-saving products at competitive prices to help nail techs work more efficiently. We listen to nail professionals to understand your needs as we pursue better nail chemistry, better techniques and faster applications to help you succeed. You ask, we answer. Just Look At Our History… Since 1957, NSI has been a family owned and operated manufacturer of high quality monomers, polymers, and other enhancement products for the professional nail industry. As early developers, inventors, and chemists, NSI pioneered and developed the first non-yellowing, cross linked formulations used in all traditional acrylic systems today. As pioneers, NSI was the first to introduce fibreglass-reinforced polymers, light activated liquid and powder acrylics, Uv cured gels, and air and heat activated polish sealants. Our chemists continually meet the demands for innovative products. In terms of quality control, NSI goes the extra mile by providing batch and tracking numbers on all products. If a nail technician does experience a problem, it can be quickly identified and solved. NSI has proudly been manufacturing quality professional only nail products in America for over 25 years. All NSI Products are made in small batches with care and are quality tested to the highest standards to ensure all of our products stay consistent from batch to batch. We never test our products on animals and we never will. NSI is committed to providing the highest quality products to our most valuable resource…. The Nail Technician.

Meet the Team!

Louise Louw

Louise Louw

Louise previously worked at the Council for Scientific and Industrial Research, running formal mentoring programmes (with Reach Africa) to guide the young graduates to grow in their careers and become the best they can be in their field of study.  She fell in love with the beauty and nail industry and has worked with NSI Brand over the last 6 years, building the brand to become 2nd on the USA’s ranking … from only 1 Distributor to 12 Distributors, which also includes Mozambique and Mauritius.

A highlight was a visit to NSI USA in May this year where she and Johann met with Fred and Rick Slack, and the rest of the effective staff at the Main base in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Louise has a passion for the brand and to make NSI the number ONE chosen brand in South Africa and Africa.

Beverly Kriek

Beverly Kriek

Beverly Kriek has more than 27 years’ experience in the Nail industry.  She was very recently certified Master Educator by NSI USA.  With this, she became part of a very small group of not even 10 Master Educators world-wide).  She is lovingly called the President of Nails in the NSI nail technician community.  She has worked with several other brands and is therefore ideally placed to compare brands and to be able to teach young nail technicians why NSI is the best brand to use.  Bev’s major role in NSI Africa is to keep our nail technicians updated with latest techniques, colour trends and fashion trends.  She will be assisting our Distributors with promotion days, workshops and new Distributors with the training of Educators.  We pride ourselves in the fact that our Educators are regularly assessed by NSI USA and always pass with flying colours.

Johann Louw

Johann Louw

Johann Louw left the South African Air Force with the rank of Colonel to join ComAir (British Air is run by Comair in South Africa).  He worked as the Operations Manager and retired in 2010. He was pulled out of retirement to join Louise in growing NSI in South Africa and in Africa.  His knowledge about logistical systems and organisational structure is a great benefit for the company.

Johann’s other passion is playing bowls when he has the chance – between getting the nail products on time to the customers.
